Always being strong at Physics and Maths at school, I’ve always been interested in how to solve real-life problems through engineering solutions. My fascination with Electronics continued at university, where my course has helped me realise the breadth of the subject. It’s actually incredible to discover how data is stored, processed and then relayed to a human in a form that is readable, in barely a blink of an eye!
I am involved with the Linux development team and, as the name suggests, my role is all about testing and developing the Linux kernel to Renesas-specific platforms. The aim for my placement is to contribute towards the Civil Infrastructure Project (CiP), which aims to maintain a kernel(s) (stable Linux software) for industries that rely on long term stable software (eg. railway industry, energy industry).
I really enjoy playing/doing a wide range of sports. I run regularly and have recently got into both rock climbing and road cycling. I also love to jam occasionally on my guitar.
