As a guitarist my interest in electronics started when modifying my own effect pedals; by simply changing a value of a component the sound produced drastically changed. It is in the nature of an engineer to ask why; this is how I went onto do a degree in Electronics which answers that question and many more.
As an R&D centre there is a large variety of projects that were being worked on at Beko. I was fortunate enough to be involved with a few different projects on novel sensor technologies. Because the Beko R&D centre is only small I was quickly made to feel part of the team, I sat in with meetings to Central R&D and felt like I made a genuine contribution. Overall it was a very rewarding experience.
As I mentioned earlier I am an avid guitarist; while at Beko I attended a jam session with some of my colleagues which was great fun. I am also into running, I like challenging myself to work towards a faster time or a longer distance. I have recently got into riding my motorbike and am currently working towards my licence; I’ve been driving a car for several years however riding a bike is a completely different experience which I’m thoroughly enjoying.
